hey
i just wanted to point out some of the things we talked about today just in case you need a reference. after adam and i left, we were thinking of doing two 8 ft ceilings{loft and the area beneath} to make the overall height 16 ft. instead of 18 ft. what do you think about that?

  • simple roof angles, one slant roof on the long side
  • storage moved to first floor next to the garage{which is also moved}
  • car port over the garage
  • humble, belongs in the environment
  • kitchen on first floor next to big windows
  • window connecting on sides{like the pic in the book}
  • small fireplace in sitting area
  • tiny loft with bed and bunk beds, and a sm closet.
  • minimal
  • larger workspace - at least one car garage{maybe a little bigger}
  • large storage space on first floor for paintings
  • windows and/or sky light in work area{needs lots of lighting}
  • skylight in bathroom?
  • garage opening facing the road
  • two 8 ft ceilings{16 ft total} instead of 9 ft and 9 ft
  • an emphasis on really utilizing our space well
i think that's it. that's for everything Wayne, we are so lucky to have such a talented architect to work with.

our land on muskrat

facing south near the lake

looking up to the main road
looking east towards our neighbors in the middle part of our land

at the top of our land {where the studio would go} looking east
top of the road where the studio would go
on the shore looking south
looking up north from the lake

where our house will go in the future 50 ft from the lake
middle-ish of the land by our neighbors on the east side

middle part of land facing neighbors on the east

right by the lake

where the studio will go
looking up north where the studio will go
